Seara Mainor
Seara is a second-year student pursuing a double major in Biology and Cognitive Science n the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Virginia. After graduation in May 2020, she hopes to stay in Charlottesville for an additional year to attain a Masters in Public Policy and eventually pursue law school. From an early age, Seara was fascinated with the idea of viewing at the body using a different perspective. She has found that holistic medicine, specifically contemplative sciences, can be useful in healing the body in a less disruptive and intrusive way.
Seara is a research assistant and student intern working on a wide range of projects for CSC. Through her interaction with the center, Seara has developed a passion for the importance of incorporating all types of medicine into healing. The CSC’s dedication to the well being of the UVA community and the nation at large has encouraged Seara to explore holistic, preventative, and contemplative care.
